Victor
Lafica was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, raised by his
Italian born parents. At the early age of five, Victor began showing
signs of his artistic ability. He experimented with pencils and
watercolors before specializing in oils. At age sixteen, while attending
school in his native Argentina, he went on to study commercial art.
His passion for colors and creativity eventually led to him becoming
a "Portrait Artist". After several years as a portrait
artist, Victor, at age thirty, crossed the continent to come to
live in America. He spent two years in Connecticut and participated
in numerous art festivals, winning many awards.
In
1963, he moved to California where his art was featured in many
invitational art exhibits, newspapers and magazines, gaining him
recognition for his paintings of some of California's historical
sites.
